SHELDON FERGUSON | Award-Winning Guitarist

           Sheldon Ferguson is a multi-platinum guitarist and producer who is originally from Columbia, South Carolina.  He earned his Bachelors in Professional Music with emphasis in Performance and Production at Berklee College of Music.  Sheldon entered the music industry as an artist, releasing three solo jazz albums, The Brighter Side, Soul Searching, and Love Languages; the first of which Sheldon released at the age of seventeen.  Sheldon’s music has received radio airplay in over 90 countries and his single “Soul Searching” made it to #7 on the Smooth Jazz Global Chart. Sheldon relocated to Atlanta after college where he quickly made a name for himself as an artist and later as producer.

            Sheldon created a new avenue for folk guitar-based production when he co-produced the now 2x Platinum, Billboard Hot 100 hit, “Yosemite”, in 2018.  The song was credited for bringing guitar back into hip-hop as described in the Rolling Stone article, Hip-Hop Had a Surprising Secret Weapon in 2018: Acoustic Guitar.  A year later Sheldon produced the acoustic guitar driven ballad “Don’t Check on Me” by Chris Brown, Justin Bieber and Ink.  Sheldon continued to push his sound, and in a three-year period he worked with some of the industry's top artists including Lil Baby, Lil Wayne, Juice WRLD, Diplo, and many more. Sheldon has also worked in the film industry as a composer, actor, guitar coach, and session musician for films such as MGM’s Respect, OWN Network's Cherish the Day, ABC’s Queens, Genius: Aretha Franklin, The Wonder Years and Greenleaf Seasons 1 & 2.
